The opportunities were there, but ultimately, the Detroit Lions were unable to make the necessary plays when it mattered the most during their Thanksgiving bout against the Green Bay Packers inside Ford Field on Thursday afternoon.
The lack of consistency on offense paired with the inability to rush the passer and get fourth down stops proved to be costly for the Lions in a 31-24 setback at home to fall to 7-5 on the season, while the Packers improved to 8-3-1.

To make matters even worse, the Lions were set to get Frank Ragnow back for the stretch run after the All-Pro and Pro Bowl center was planning on returning from retirement.
However, those plans were foiled immediately:

The Lions look to get back to its winning ways as they conclude their three-game home stretch this Thursday night with a primetime showdown against Dak Prescott and the 6-5-1 Dallas Cowboys at 8:15 pm.
