The Detroit Lions’ preseason finale against the Houston Texans this past Saturday afternoon inside Ford Field didn’t go exactly as planned, especially for the guys that were fighting for a spot on the 53-man roster, as the visitors dictated the pace of play from the opening kickoff and came away with a comfortable road victory.
With the loss, the Lions finished the exhibition slate with a 1-3 record.

The two bright spots in the loss were quarterback Kyle Allen, who went five-for-five passing for 66 yards and a touchdown, and wide receiver Isaac TeSlaa, who capped off the preseason with a pair of catches for 41 yards and this touchdown catch early in the game.
