Former Michigan State Safety Khari Willis has decided to hang up the football cleats after three seasons in the National Football League with the Indianapolis Colts to pursue ministry full-time.
Willis, the Jackson, Michigan native, was drafted by the Colts with the 109th overall pick (fourth round) in the 2019 NFL Draft. Prior to being drafted, the 26-year old spent four seasons in East Lansing from 2015-18 totaling 189 tackles (95 solo), 3 sacks, 3 interceptions, and 2 forced fumbles in 41 games played.
With the Colts, Willis appeared in 39 games (33 starts) recording 219 tackles (161 solo), 3.5 sacks, 4 interceptions (1 returned for a touchdown), and 1 fumble recovery.
