Last night, Alex Ovechkin passed one of the best players in NHL history on the all-time scoring list.

That just happens to be current general manager of the Detroit Red Wings, Steve Yzerman. Ovechkin now has 693 career goals and passes Yzerman to be ninth on that list.

Yzerman personally congratulated Ovechkin on his accomplishment.

At least we know that Stevie-Y has a sense of humor, right?
