Colts won’t be asking Luck for signing bonus money following retirement

Indianapolis fans were not happy with the rumors that star QB Andrew Luck planned to retire.  Luck was booed by fans during Saturday’s preseason game.

Luck later confirmed his retirement in a press conference, saying that the several injuries he’s battled in his seven seasons with the Colts have started to affect his mental health.  “It’s taken my joy away from the game.”

Luck, the no. 1 overall draft pick in 2012 seemed heavy-hearted when making his announcement.  The Colts will most likely use 2017’s Patriots trade Jacoby Brissett as their QB.

The Colts will not be asking for any of his signing bonus back according to NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport. That is $16.8 million Luck will be keeping.

Have you ever had to quit a job to preserve your mental health?  Do you think that Colts fans are being unfair for being angry at Luck?
