Another core piece of the Detroit Lions has officially been extended as running back Jahmyr Gibbs has agreed to a new three-year contract that results in the 24-year-old becoming the highest-paid running back in NFL history.

In his first three years in the league, Gibbs has notched three Pro Bowl selections while totaling nearly 3,600 yards rushing and 1,500 yards receiving to go with 49 total touchdowns (39 rushing and 10 receiving).
The fourth-year pro has also accumulated nearly 250 yards rushing and 164 yards receiving to go with five rushing touchdowns in four career playoff games in 2024 and 2025.
