Hockey can be a weird sport, especially come playoff time.
For the Grand Rapids Griffins, their Central Division Finals battle against the Chicago Wolves saw the Western Conference’s best team during regular season dominate the last three games of the series only to run into a hot goaltender and see their season come to end.
Ultimately, the Griffins fell to the Wolves in the best-of-five series, three games to one, with the only victory in the series coming in Game 3 in Chicago by a 4-3 score in overtime.
