The 2026-27 college basketball seasons are underway for the Grand Valley State Men’s and Women’s Basketball teams as they both opened up their respective campaigns in Wisconsin Dells for three games in three days at the Midwest Tip-Off Challenge.
The Back-To-Back Defending National Champion GVSU Women came in ranked #1 in the preseason coaches poll, while the Defending GLIAC Tournament Champion GVSU Men were ranked preseason #17 nationally.
When the dust settled on the weekend, the GVSU Women showed why they should still be ranked #1 in the country, while the men picked up one victory while battling in three close contests that came down to the wire.
