For the first time this season, the Grand Valley State Football team has to battle through some adversity after suffering its first loss of the season this past Saturday afternoon up in Houghton to the #19-ranked Michigan Tech Huskies.
In a game that saw numerous swings of momentum, the Lakers were unable to hold on to a pair of second half touchdown leads and would eventually fall in overtime to the Huskies by a 41-35 decision.
Both teams now sit at 5-1 on the season with GVSU falling to 1-1 in GLIAC play and Michigan Tech improving to 2-0 against conference opposition.
