Two members of the Detroit Tigers’ 2018 Major League Baseball Draft class have been dealt off to a pair of teams in the National League West following this season’s MLB Trade Deadline as Tarik Skubal was traded to the two-time defending champion Los Angeles Dodgers, while Casey Mize was sent to the San Diego Padres.

Skubal, who will turn 30 years old in November, was drafted by the Tigers in the 9th round of the 2018 MLB Draft out of Seattle University and ended his Tigers tenure with 61 wins to go with back-to-back All-Star Game appearances and A.L. Cy Young Awards in 2024 and 2025.
Mize, who just turned 29 years old in May, was the #1 overall pick in the 2018 MLB Draft by the Tigers out of Auburn University and finished his journey with Detroit compiling 27 victories plus an All-Star Game appearance in 2025.
