After a nearly two-week layoff following a first-round Calder Cup Playoff bye, the top-seeded Grand Rapids Griffins (finally) took to the ice to begin their playoff journey for a best-of-five Central Division Semifinal matchup against the fourth-seeded Manitoba Moose.
After getting shutout in Game #1 up in Winnipeg, the Griffins were able to notch three straight, including two at the Van Andel Arena in downtown Grand Rapids, to claim the series three games to one and advance to the best-of-five Central Division Finals.
