The Detroit Tigers have signed another core piece of the organization’s future for many seasons to come as they have agreed on an eight-year, $150 million extension with rookie Kevin McGonigle that begins in 2027.

The 21-year-old McGonigle was drafted by the Tigers during the first-round (37th overall) of the 2023 MLB Draft out of high school in Pennsylvania.
