To kick off the 2026 calendar year, the Grand Valley State Men’s and Women’s Basketball teams took the trip to the Upper Peninsula on New Year’s Day for a pair of GLIAC contests against the Michigan Tech Huskies (Friday) and Northern Michigan Wildcats (Saturday) on back-to-back afternoons.
When all was said and done, the Laker Men and Women ended the trip with a 3-1 combined record that included a pair of wins against nationally-ranked counterparts:
