With playoff and GLIAC implications on the line, the #18-ranked Grand Valley State Football team took to Big Rapids for the first time since the 2022 season looking to capture a big road victory against the #1-ranked Ferris State Bulldogs inside Top Taggart Field.
From the opening kickoff, the Lakers went toe-to-toe against the top team in country, but ultimately, could not get over the hump when it mattered the most as the Bulldogs were able to hold on to a 38-31 home victory to stay unbeaten on the season at 8-0 overall and 4-0 in GLIAC play, while GVSU dropped to 4-3 overall and 2-2 in the conference.
