From the first pitch of the first regular season game, the West Michigan Whitecaps proved that they were, hands down, the best team in the Midwest League for the entire 2025 season.
After sweeping the Lake County Captains in Round #1, the Whitecaps did the exact same thing to the Cedar Rapids Kernels in Round #2 in quickly disposing the opposition in two games resulting in their seventh Midwest League crown in franchise history and first since the 2015 season.
