The Detroit Lions were able to head down to Georgia and notch their first win of the preseason by a 17-10 final over the Atlanta Falcons as the game ended up being shortened, and rightfully so, due to a scary injury situation involving Lions safety Morice Norris during the beginning moments of the fourth quarter.
The great news is, Norris was able to return to the team and will be re-evaluated in a few weeks:
On the football side of things, starting quarterback for the game Henden Hooker struggled with a couple of lost fumbles and was replaced in the second quarter by Kyle Allen, who orchestrated three scoring drives that included this connection to Hudsonville native Isaac TeSlaa:
The Lions continue their preseason slate this Saturday afternoon with a 1 pm kickoff at Ford Field against the Miami Dolphins.
