Former Central Michigan Chippewa and current Detroit Tigers utility man Zach McKinstry can officially call himself an All-Star for the first time in his career as he becomes the fifth Tigers player named to this year’s American League squad for the upcoming All-Star Game in Atlanta.
The 30-year-old McKinstry is currently in his third season with the Tigers after spending his first three Major League Baseball seasons between the Los Angeles Dodgers and Chicago Cubs.
