Pistons’ Malik Beasley being investigated for federal gambling allegations

Detroit Pistons sixth man Malik Beasley, who is currently free agent and was about to potentially sign a new contract with Detroit, is currently under federal investigation for gambling related to NBA games and prop bets.

The allegations are from the 2023-24 season when Beasley was a member of the Milwaukee Bucks.

This past season with the Pistons, the 28-year-old Beasley appeared in every game, including the postseason, averaging just over 16 points per contest during the regular season and shooting almost 42% from three-point range.

Beasley has spent nine seasons in the league playing for six different teams in the Pistons (1 season), Denver Nuggets (4 seasons), Minnesota Timberwolves (3 seasons), Milwaukee Bucks (1 season), Utah Jazz (1 season), and Los Angeles Lakers (1 season).
