Pistons take Chaz Lanier with lone NBA Draft pick, Vlad Goldin signs free agent deal with Miami

With their lone pick of the 2025 NBA Draft at 37th overall in the second round, the Detroit Pistons took 23-year-old Chaz Lanier out of the University of Tennessee.

After four seasons at North Florida, Lanier spent the 204-25 season with the Volunteers totaling 18 PPG, 3.9 RPG, and shot nearly 40% from three-point range while also shooting 43.1% from the floor.

In other NBA Draft news, Michigan big man Vlad Goldin agreed to a two-way free agent deal with the Miami Heat after going undrafted.
