It’s not too early to start thinking about the upcoming 2025-26 National Hockey League season, especially since Detroit Red Wings fans are chomping at the bit to hopefully see their hockey team in next year’s playoffs.

For now, Red Wings fans can first look forward to the preseason slate, which is just under three months away.

The 2025-26 NHL regular season is slated to begin during the first full week of October.
