Michigan Panthers lock up spot in UFL Championship Game after claiming USFL Conference title

The Michigan Panthers are headed to the United Football League Championship Game this Saturday night in St. Louis after going on the road this weekend and knocking off the three-time league champion Birmingham Stallions in the USFL Conference Championship Game by a 44-29 final.

The Panthers had been 0-6 all-time against Birmingham going into Sunday’s conference title game and will get set to take on the DC Defenders next weekend, who beat the St. Louis Battlehawks on the road by a 36-18 decision in the XFL Conference Championship Game.

Both the Panthers and Defenders ended the ten-game regular season with 6-4 records while finishing in second in their respective conferences.
