For the third time in their previous five postseason appearances, the Toledo Walleye have made the Kelly Cup Finals as they look to capture its first ECHL crown since being named the Walleye.
The Walleye’s path to the league championship began with a four-game sweep of the Indy Fuel in the Central Division Semifinals followed by a 4-2 series win in the Central Division Finals over the Fort Wayne Komets and, most recently, a 4-1 series win over the Kansas City Mavericks in the Western Conference Finals.
The Walleye will take on either the three-time defending champion Florida Everblades, who they lost to in five games during the 2022 Kelly Cup Finals, or the Trois-Rivieres Lions.
