Red Wings land 15th overall pick in the 2024 NHL Entry Draft

To no one’s surprise, the Detroit Red Wings did not have any sort of NHL Draft Lottery luck for another offseason, even though the odds of landing the #1 overall pick were heavily against them at a mere 0.5%.

When all was said and done, the Red Wings ended up in the same position in the lottery as they finished in the National Hockey League stadings.

Overall, there was no movement at all in the draft lottery as the league-worst San Jose Sharks ended up with the #1 overall selection.

The last time the Red Wings picked 15th overall in the NHL Entry Draft:

2021 – Sebastian Cossa (traded up from 23rd overall with Dallas)
2014 – Dylan Larkin
