Red-hot Toledo Walleye off to a perfect start in Kelly Cup Playoffs

The Detroit Red Wings’ farm system continues to turn heads during the beginning stages of the 2024 postseason.

The Grand Rapids Griffins in the American Hockey League (AHL) have advanced to the second-round of the Calder Cup Playoffs, while the Toledo Walleye in the East Coast Hockey League (ECHL) are rolling through the Kelly Cup Playoffs after sweeping the Kalamazoo Wings in the Central Division Semifinals, 4-0, and are currently up 2-0 in the Central Division Finals series against the Wheeling Nailers.

Also, it’s been a minute (or two) since the Walleye have lost a game dating back to the regular season:

All in all, things are continuing to trend in an upward direction in regards to the long term future of the Red Wings.
