Tigers split series with Pittsburgh and Minnesota to stay above .500 overall

The Detroit Tigers are still hovering above the .500 mark through the first few weeks of the 2024 regular season at 9-6 overall following a pair of series splits against the Pittsburgh Pirates (two games on the road) and Minnesota Twins (four games at home) to go 3-3 for the past week.

Even though the Tigers have been exchanging wins and losses recently, a pair of American League Central foes in the Cleveland Guardians and Kansas City Royals have surged past Detroit to currently put the Tigers in the middle of the division standings.

The big story through the beginning of the regular season continues to be the pitching staff from the starters to the bullpen.

This week, the Tigers get set to host the defending champion Texas Rangers for four games followed by a three-game road weekend set in Minnesota against the Twins.
