Michigan captures third straight Big Ten Football crown, earns College Football Playoff bid to the Rose Bowl

For the third consecutive season, the Michigan Wolverines are the football kings of the Big Ten Conference following their shutout win over the Iowa Hawkeyes in the Big Ten Championship Game in Indianapolis.

The Wolverines capped off a perfect 13-0 overall record and earned the #1 seed in the final College Football Playoff rankings.

Michigan will look to snap their current bowl losing streak while erasing its College Football Playoff demons in the Rose Bowl on New Year’s Day against the #4 seed in the 12-1 Alabama Crimson Tide.

In other bowl-related news, the other FBS Michigan school that earned a postseason bowl bid is the 6-6 Eastern Michigan Eagles, who will participate in the 68 Ventures Bowl against the 6-6 South Alabama Jaguars.
