Michigan State to terminate Mel Tucker’s contract for cause

Michigan State University is intending to terminate football head coach Mel Tucker’s contract for cause resulting in no buyout settlement as the school will continue to investigate the alleged sexual assault allegations regardless of Tucker’s participation in the upcoming hearing and his job status with the university.

The 51-year-old Tucker was in the third year of a 10-year, $95 million contract and compiled a 20-14 overall record (12-13 Big Ten) during his tenure in East Lansing.
