Michigan State’s football regular season finale flexed to Black Friday at Ford Field

In another Big Ten Football plot twist to try and create more television revenue, the conference and NBC recently announced that Michigan State’s football regular season finale will not be played at Spartan Stadium in East Lansing on a Saturday in late November, but rather, on Black Friday in primetime at Ford Field in downtown Detroit.

Because of this schedule change, the MHSAA has had to change their plans for its football state finals weekend in Detroit by pushing the two-day weekend from Friday-Saturday to Saturday-Sunday.

According to the MHSAA, if any Christian institution makes the finals and is initially scheduled to play on Sunday, then their respective football finals contest will be flexed to Saturday.
