Tigers Weekly Report: Missed Opportunities

It was a below .500 five-game week for the Detroit Tigers that resulted in a 2-3 mark and dropping the overall record slightly to 20-24 on the season.

The Tigers began last week with a two-game home split against the Pittsburgh Pirates followed by losing two of three over the weekend on the road against the Washington Nationals.

However, Detroit currently still sits in second in the American League Central just 3.5 games back of the first-place Minnesota Twins.

The storyline from the week was the young bats of Riley Greene and Spencer Torkelson, who seem to be slowly but surely coming around as we hit the warmer months.

Here’s who the Tigers will face this coming week as we hit the backstretch of May:

Monday-Wednesday: at Kansas City Royals (Kauffman Stadium)
Thursday-Sunday: vs. Chicago White Sox (Comerica Park)
