The first full week of the 2023 season started out well for the Detroit Tigers after being swept away in a three-game set at Tampa Bay to kick off in the season after taking two of three from the defending champion Houston Astros down in Texas to improve to 2-4 on the season.

However, the past week ended with a giant thud in their first home series of the season against the Boston Red Sox courtesy of a three-game sweep at the hands of the visitors.

The schedule does not get any easier this coming week for the 2-7 Tigers either:

Tuesday-Thursday: at Toronto Blue Jays (Rogers Centre)
Friday-Sunday: vs. San Francisco Giants (Comerica Park)
