Michigan wins NIT opener at home against Toledo, faces Vanderbilt on the road Saturday afternoon

The Michigan Wolverines Basketball squad obviously missed out on this year’s NCAA Tournament due their average 17-15 record, but they decided to participate in the postseason NIT and ended up as a three-seed in one quadrant of the 32-team field.

To begin the tournament, the Wolverines hosted the Toledo Rockets Tuesday night at Crisler Center and came away victorious to move to the second-round this weekend.

Michigan will now hit the road to face the second-seeded Vanderbilt Commodores in Nashville.
