It’s official, the College Football Playoff will be expanding from 4 to 12 teams beginning in the 2024 season.

The top four teams in the country will get a first-round bye with the eight other participants playing against one another at the home sites of the higher-seeded school (i.e. No. 12 at No. 5, No. 9 at No. 8, etc.).

The quarterfinal and semifinal rounds will be played in bowls on a rotating basis, and the National Championship Game will be held at a different city each year.
