Tigers recall Brendon Davis from Toledo to make Major League Baseball debut

The Detroit Tigers continue to navigate through numerous injuries as the 2022 season comes to a close.

This time around, Willi Castro has been sent to the season-ending Injured List with a left hamstring strain which now paves the way for another Tigers minor leaguer to make his Major League Baseball debut:

The 25-year-old Davis was drafted by the Los Angeles Dodgers in the fifth-round of the 2015 MLB Draft and appeared in 103 games this season for the Triple-A Toledo Mud Hens hitting .232 with two home runs, 14 runs batted in, and six stolen bases.

The Tigers finish the season with three home contests against the Minnesota Twins this weekend followed by four games in three days out in the Pacific Northwest against the Seattle Mariners.
