The 2022 football season kicked off with a bang last night at Lubbers Stadium in Allendale as #5 Grand Valley State saw a 17-0 lead disappear in the fourth quarter against #4 Colorado School of Mines only to have the home side rally for a late fourth quarter touchdown and two-point conversion to eventually come away victorious by a 25-22 final.
The Lakers, now 1-0 on the season, picked up their second win in as many tries all-time against the Orediggers and will head west next Saturday night (September 10th) to take on the ThunderWolves of Colorado State-Pueblo at 8 pm.
