Nicholas Sanders, the son of Detroit Lions great Barry Sanders, has decided to walk-on to the Michigan State Basketball Team beginning this season and will wear the same number his father wore during his time with the Lions.

Nicholas Sanders spent his high school years playing basketball at Detroit Country Day.

Barry Sanders’ oldest son, Barry J. Sanders, played college football at Stanford (2012-15) and Oklahoma State (2016), Barry Sanders’ alma mater.
