Tom Izzo Signs New Five-Year Rollover Contract With Michigan State

Tom Izzo is a “Spartan for Life,” and the legendary Michigan State Basketball head coach just proved that notion even further in signing a new five-year rollover contract worth approximately $6.2 million per year.

Izzo, the 67-year-old, is entering his 28th season guiding the MSU Men’s Basketball program and has compiled more overall wins at a Big Ten school than any other conference coach with 666.

The Iron Mountain, Michigan native also guided the last Big Ten school to a National Championship in 2000 when the Spartans, led by the “Flintstones,” beat Florida, 89-76, in Indianapolis to capture the school’s second basketball National Championship (1979).
