End Of An Era: Big Ten Ending Long Media Partnership With ESPN

The end of an era is upon us.

For the first time since 1984, it appears that ESPN will not carrying any Big Ten football games once the current deal expires in 2023. ABC had been carrying Big Ten games since 1966.

According to reports, the new leaders in the clubhouse are FOX, CBS, and NBC.

Long story short, the more TV networks that come on-board, the more money that goes right into the Big Ten’s pockets.

As for ESPN, they will now be the exclusive football provider for the SEC beginning in 2024 as part of a ten-year agreement.
