Michigan Names Brandon Naurato Interim Hockey Head Coach

The University of Michigan has found its temporary replacement to lead its hockey program for the upcoming 2022-23 season.

Naurato, the Livonia native, spent this past season has an assistant under Mel Pearson, who was relieved of his duties on Friday following on independent investigation on the program’s climate and culture.

The 37-year-old played four seasons in Ann Arbor from 2005-09 totaling 32 goals and 32 assists in 130 games played.

Naurato also spent three seasons with the Detroit Red Wings as a player development consultant.
