“I Don’t Feel Well Right Now.” Will 2022 Be The Last Season For Miguel Cabrera?

Early in 2022 baseball season, Miguel Cabrera was the best hitter in the Detroit Tigers lineup.

Sure, the power is completely gone from his swing, but at one point, he was hitting over .300 and getting on base frequently.

However, the 39-year-old has slowed down, and the wear and tear of a long baseball career has taken a toll on the future Hall of Famer.

Miggy is still on the books for next season, where he’ll turn 40 in mid-April, for a cool $32 million and has two mutual options in 2024 and 2025 at $30 million each season.

In 91 games this season, Cabrera is hitting .268 with 4 home runs and 36 runs batted in.

The obvious question everyone wants to know now is….will Miggy retire after this season?
