Tony Finau Captures 2022 Rocket Mortgage Classic

For the first time since 2019, the PGA Tour has experienced the same winner in back-to-back weeks.

Tony Finau was able to accomplish the feat after winning the week before in Minnesota at the 3M Open with a convincing win over the weekend at the Rocket Mortgage Classic in Detroit.

The native of Utah set a tournament-record with a 26-under 262 total and was five strokes better than the three players that finished in second-place in Patrick Cantlay, Taylor Pendrith, and Cameron Young.

Finau, also became the fourth different winner of the event since its 2019 inception joining previous winners Nate Lashley (2019), Bryson DeChambeau (2020), and Cameron Davis (2021).

In addition, the Rocket Mortgage Classic will return next in 2023 and be held right before the Fourth of July.
