Mel Pearson’s Future Still Uncertain As Michigan’s Hockey Program Remains Under Investigation

The University of Michigan’s hockey program has been under investigation since late October/early November for allegedly trying to hide COVID-19 cases before the 2021 NCAA Tournament and creating a toxic work environment for female employees.

Since the investigation began, head coach Mel Pearson’s contract has expired, but he remains with the team.

Also, Michigan’s director of hockey operations has retired recently due to the discriminatory climate allegations.

Now, it appears that the investigation may finally be wrapping up by next week.

Will Mel Pearson still be the head coach at the University of Michigan when all is said and done?
