The first two rounds of the 2022 Major League Baseball Draft took place last night out in Los Angeles, and Al Avila and the Detroit Tigers decided to utilize their first two picks on not just bats, but college bats.
Jung, the San Antonio native, was the Big 12 Player of the Year in 2021 as a second-year freshman at Texas Tech and spent this past season with the Red Raiders hitting .335 with 14 HR and 57 RBI leading to First-Team All-Big 12 honors.
Graham, the Waxahachie native, spent three seasons at Oklahoma hitting .320 with 34 HR and 109 RBI. This past season, Graham batted .333 and led the Sooners with 20 home runs, 4 triples, 71 RBI, 75 runs scored, and 34 stolen bases.
