Detroit Tigers legend Willie Horton as been invited by Houston Astros Manager Dusty Baker to serve as an honorary American League coach for the upcoming 2022 All-Star Game held at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles.

Horton, the Detroit native, spent 15 seasons with the Tigers hitting .276 with 262 home runs and 886 RBI while totaling 1,490 hits.

The 79-year-old has his number “23” retired by the Tigers and was inducted into the Michigan Sports Hall of Fame in 1987.
