Former Purdue Standout & One-Time MSU Commit Caleb Swanigan Dies At 25

Former Purdue star Caleb Swanigan has passed away the age of 25.

A former Indiana Mr. Basketball and one of the top recruits from the 2015 class, Swanigan originally committed to Tom Izzo back in April 2015 but then decommitted just 27 days later.

Eventually, the Fort Wayne, Indiana native chose the Boilermakers and ended up being a First Team All-American and Big Ten Player of the Year in 2017.

Swanigan was drafted by the Portland Trail Blazers in the first-round (26th overall) during the 2017 NBA Draft and played parts of three seasons in the NBA with Portland and Sacramento from 2017-20.
