The NCAA Baseball Tournament kicks off this weekend, and two schools from the state of Michigan have made the “Big Dance” following postseason conference tournament wins in the Central Michigan Chippewas and Michigan Wolverines.
The Chippewas currently sit with a 42-17 overall record and finished second in the MAC regular season standings with a 30-7 conference mark. CMU has made the NCAA Tournament in the last three consecutive seasons (2019, 2021, 2022).
The Wolverines endured a rollercoaster-type 2022 campaign thus far after finishing fifth in the Big Ten regular season standings at 12-12 and have totaled a 32-26 overall mark. Michigan has also made the last three NCAA Tournaments and five of the last seven played (2015, 2017, 2019, 2021, 2022).
