2022 NFL Draft: Michigan With Five Players Drafted, MSU Right Behind With Four

The 2022 NFL Draft is officially in books, and Michigan and Michigan State saw a combined nine players taken in the seven-round draft with the Wolverines getting five players picked and MSU right behind with four.

After Aidan Hutchinson (Lions – 2nd overall) and Daxton Hill (Bengals – 31st overall) were selected in the first round, Michigan had one player in David Ojabo (Ravens – 45th overall) picked on Day #2 and two in Hassan Haskins (Titans – 131st overall) and Andrew Stueber (Patriots – 245th overall) taken on Day #3.

After the conclusion of the NFL Draft, teams can also sign players as undrafted free agents, and Michigan had six players sign deals in Vincent Gray (Saints), Daylen Baldwin (Giants), Brad Hawkins (Falcons), Donovan Jeter (Steelers), Chris Hinton (Giants), and Josh Ross (Ravens).

For the Spartans, the first player that came off the board occurred during Day #2 as Kenneth Walker III landed with the Seattle Seahawks at #41 overall. The last three players were chosen during the final day of the draft in Jalen Nailor (Vikings – 191st overall), Connor Heyward (Steelers – 208th overall), and A.J. Arcuri (Rams – 261st overall).

In addition, MSU had three players land undrafted free agents deals in Matt Coghlin (Bears), Kevin Jarvis (Lions), and Jacob Panasiuk (Commanders).
