Juwan Howard To The Los Angeles Lakers? Don’t Rule It Out….

Let the NBA coaching carousel begin as teams who didn’t make this season’s playoffs begin to plan for the 2022-23 season that includes deciding if the current head coach in place is worth keeping for at least another season.

This leads us to those Los Angeles Lakers, who missed out on the postseason by one game and are currently in the market for a new head coach after firing Frank Vogel. Vogel went 127-98 in his three seasons in L.A. that included capturing the 2020 NBA Championship in the Orlando bubble.

With every head coach that gets fired leads to conversation on who the next head man in charge will be, and for the Lakers, one familiar name has surfaced in Michigan’s Juwan Howard, who interviewed for the Lakers gig back in 2019.

The 49-year-old has compiled a 61-32 record in three seasons at his college alma matter that includes a regular season Big Ten Championship in 2020-21, an Elite Eight appearance in the 2021 NCAA Tournament, and a Sweet 16 appearance this past season.

Howard also served as an assistant coach for the Miami Heat from 2013-19.

Would leaving Michigan for the Lakers be a smart move on Howard’s part?
