The Grand Valley State Women’s Basketball team held a 29-27 halftime lead over the Pioneers of Glenville State during Wednesday night’s Division Two Final Four matchup, but the Pioneers would go on to outscore the Lakers 50-24 in the second half that helped pave the way to a 77-53 victory down in Birmingham, Alabama.

GVSU ends its 2021-22 campaign with a 31-3 overall record that included an outright GLIAC regular season championship, a runner-up finish in the GLIAC postseason tournament, a seventh consecutive appearance in the NCAA Tournament, a Regional Championship, and their third all-time appearance in the Final Four.
