A familiar name within the college football circuit in the state of Michigan recently went #1 overall during the 2022 United States Football League (USFL) Draft.
Former Michigan Quarterback Shea Patterson was selected by, of all teams, the Michigan Panthers with the #1 overall pick in the draft.
During his two years at Michigan in 2018 and 2019, Patterson totaled 5,661 passing yards, 45 passing touchdowns, 323 rushing yards, 7 rushing touchdowns, and 15 interceptions. Overall between Ole Miss and Michigan from 2016-19, Patterson put up 8,800 passing yards, 68 passing touchdowns, 476 rushing yards, 8 rushing touchdowns, and 27 interceptions.
After going undrafted in the 2020 NFL Draft, Patterson was a free agent signing by the Kansas City Chiefs before being released and bounced around between two Canadian Football League (CFL) teams in the B.C. Lions and Montreal Allouettes in 2021.
