GVSU Football Notches Home Playoff Win Against Lindenwood; Gets Rematch At Ferris State

The #4 Grand Valley State Lakers picked up a 20-3 home playoff win this past Saturday over the Lindenwood Lions (MO) to improve their 2021 record to 10-1 and set up a rematch against #1 Ferris State up in Big Rapids this coming Saturday at 1 pm. The Bulldogs had a bye after picking up the #1 seed in the Super Region and defeated GVSU at Lubbers Stadium earlier this season on October 16th, 35-28.

GVSU improved to 36-15 all-time in NCAA DII Playoff action, including a 36-10 mark since 2001. In addition, GVSU is now 22-5 in home playoff games and the Lakers have won 10 or more games in a season 16 times since 2001. 

GVSU becomes one of 16 teams left in the Division Two postseason, and the winner of GVSU-Ferris State will take on the winner of Northwest Missouri State-Harding a week from this Saturday in the Super Region Final.
